Parallel Port
It is a type of interface found on computers. It was originally developed by IBM to connect a printer to a PC. It has a 25-pin connector and is used to connect printers, scanners, network adapters, etc. The parallel port has five input pins; pin # 10, 11, 12, and 15. Eight bits of data is sent at a time when a PC sends information to a printer. This is sent through a parallel port which is capable of sending fifty-hundred kilobytes of data per second.
